man panties for wiggers / MPAA=EVIL / foreign bloggage

Saturday Night Live has their commercials special on tonight. I have always thought the commercials are the funniest part of the show. Of course the funniest commercial is the one for Happy Fun Ball. "Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball". Lol. Lindsay, my wife, doesn’t find this funny. Sometimes I swear it’s like we are two completely different people. :)

Just in case anyone out there is feeling a little twinge of guilt about the movie they are downloading right now, there is more MPAA shenannigans afoot – this time in Toronto! We in Canada like to think that we have less of this sort of shit to deal with than south of the 49th, but no, we are being tainted as well. An email posted on Declan McCullagh’s PoliTech site tells a disturbing tale of searches and videotaped audiences at a Toronto pre-screening. Scary shit.

Now, I have been on the web for quite some time now and in my digital travels the vast majority of content I have encountered has been authored in the English language. The two exceptions to this are, of course, the solution to extremely annoying tech problems (the solution of which can only seem to be found on websites in Russian or Chinese or anything else that cannot easily be slapped into BabelFish) and the pseudo-English that only seems to be spoken in the U.S. and Saskatchewan (seriously, people here say the strangest things, such as "I borrowed him that book", meaning that the speaker loaned the book to someone). Anyway, in the very short time I have been a part of the bloggin community I have seen more non-English web content than I have in the past 10 years of surfing. Crazy. And, yes, I am very well aware of just how Anglo-centric and conceited it is to refer to non-English speakers as "foreign" on the web but hey, it’s my blog and I’ll over-simplify if I want to.
